New Blog, Who Dis?

No but really, who am I?

Welcome to the blog of a 25 year old young professional based in New York City. To say I’ve always wanted to start a blog would be a lie. However, from MySpace days to Instagram posts, I feel very well prepared for this kind of endeavor. Is it a stretch? Maybe. However, this blog is all about growing through what you go through. Sometimes that means taking a leap of faith in yourself and starting something different.

Why should you care?

I know 25 seems a bit young of an age to be giving strangers advice on the internet, but there is no time like the present. Starting this blog now will allow me start developing the right habits and hopefully also provide a creative outlet for the mumbo jumbo that exists inside our heads at any given moment. This blog will focus on a variety of topics regarding financial education, internal growth, spiritual growth, emotional maturity, and much more. I know some of you read that sentence and laughed out loud. I know that because even the little judgy voice in my head laughed at the thought that me, a young kid, can discuss any of those aforementioned topics. But since we grow through what we go through, all I can do is try. I’m not saying I have all the answers but I have a good heart, a good sense of humor, and now I have this blog to share these things with the world.

Anyways, here are some “credentials” that may or may not compel an undecided reader to stick around and learn more:

  • I am a native New Yorker
  • Fluent in English and Spanish and am currently studying Mandarin
  • Graduated top 10 of my high school class (Yes, 10 years ago but let me build myself up here)
  • Graduated cum laude from a prestigious private college (wasn’t smart enough to graduate debt-free though)
  • Paid almost $19,000 in student loans within 2 years of graduating from college
  • Grew my net worth to over $100K at the age of 25. Shoutout to HerFirst100K for putting this goal into my mind in the first place.
  • Switched jobs within the first 6-8 months of my career and pivoted into a role that paid me almost double my first job’s salary
  • I am the child of immigrant parents
  • I am a first generation college graduate

Is that it?

Now, of course bullet points cannot define all that I have and have yet to accomplish. But here we are to define the rest of these things together. I also want to emphasize that if you have all of the above items under your belt or none of the above items relate to you, I still think we have plenty to learn from each other and I invite you to stick around. When looking around my site, I hope you take what resonates with you. We are all unique individuals growing through what we’re going through.

I’m a Grower not a “Show”er

I wanted to create an anonymous personal blog to serve as a place for my inner musings as I navigate through this thing called life. My favorite topics include finances, self-love, and manifestation. Follow along to keep up with this journey and hopefully we can spend some time growing through life together.
