After a tumultuous but exciting 2023, I feel ready to embrace 2024 with open arms.
2023 was all about self reflection, working on my mindset, and embracing change.
Some things I did successfully in 2023:
- Went on 7 trips – even 1 solo trip!
- Started a new job and stayed through it even though it was a tough transition
- Prioritized time in nature and time with my family
- Healed some home wounds with my immediate family
- Embraced change and was flexible throughout all the ups and downs of the year
- Journaled more consistently than I ever have before
- Reignited my childhood passion for reading
- Became more consistent with my IG content for @where.are.you.growing
- Embraced my love for singing and even sang in public
Some things I can improve on in 2024:
- I already traveled a lot in 2023 and I want to travel even more in 2024! None of my 2023 trips went as planned from loneliness to hospital visits but yet I came out of each one confident that the trips were teaching me something with every twist and turn
- I want to be more compassionate with myself and others. I’m still reprogramming my mind to get rid of negative self talk. I will say these patterns and my mindset have improved a lot in the past year
- I want to reignite my passion for learning languages. I recently signed up for a Mandarin class, which is exciting
- Create more balance around my home and work life. Last year I spent a lot of time hiding at home and ignoring my job duties. This year I’d like to put in 30-50% more effort at work. Last year I was giving 0-15% on average
- I barely posted on this blog that I’m paying good money for. If I want to pursue my dream of being a blogger I’ve got to do better with this. And it’s okay because there is no time like the present.
2024 feels like a year full of abundance and opportunity. I’m confident this year will be full of greatness for you and me. What are your areas of opportunity in 2024?
